| MAI BHAGO ( Mata Bhago of Chabhal ) She was the descendant Pero Shah , the younger brother of Bhai Langah , a Dhillon jat who had become a sikh during the time of Shr Guru Arjan Dev Ji , born at her ancestral village of Chabhal at present in Amritsar district of Punjab . She was married to S. Nidhan Singh Varaich of Patti . She was the bravest woman of sikh history . When she realized that some sikh of her neighbourhood had deserted Shri Guru Gobind Singh under adverse conditions , she rellied them persuading them to meet the Guru and apologize to him . Under her command 40 sikhs later known as “ Chali Mukte “ challenged the mughal army of 10000 soldiers and inflicting a huge damage to them that they had no option but to retreat . | |
